Restoration and refurbishing of classic camera models!
There are very few technicians with the necessary skills and experience who can competently service older classic and mechanical cameras!
Cameras such as the Minolta SRT series, Canon FT and TL series, Pentax Spotmatic and K-series, Ricoh KR and XR series and Olympus OM.1 will restore to excellent condition if they haven’t been physically damaged or abused.
In fact if you own an Exa, Exakta, or Edixa camera, a Kodak Retina and Retinette, Olympus Pen and Trip 35, Pentax H or S series, or any of the Voigtlander or Zeiss Ikon cameras you can contact me for restoration..
I can also dress up the look of your camera by using a different colour leatherette, such as the green grained material shown here.
Vulcanite Leatherette material is available in Burgundy, Blue, and Green. Genuine kangaroo hide is also available in various colours.
German camera brands such as Exakta, Edixa, Zeiss Ikon, Voigtlander can in most cases be serviced and restored to reliable condition.
Zeiss Ikon and Voigtlander cameras
We service most Zeiss Ikon (Contina, Contessa, etc) and Voigtlander (Vito CL, CLT, Vitomatic, etc) cameras. Please contact us with model details and condition of the camera, or submit the camera for assessment and estimate.
Zeiss Contaflex models
The Contaflex series spanned many years and a large number of models.
Provided the camera has not been abused or impact damaged it will usually restore really well. Mechanically, Zeiss cameras are nearly indestructible under normal use, and a good professional service will restore reliability.
Exakta Varex models
We are one of the few workshops still servicing Exakta cameras.
Admittedly there is no point in submitting a poorly maintained or damaged camera if you expect a good result.
Our service can include custom making and fitting new curtains as well as the normal general overhaul.
Kodak Retina series
The original 35mm ‘pocket’ camera, made in Germany to a very high standard of quality with excellent lenses and shutter mechanisms.
To restore is not low cost and the camera needs to be in physically undamaged condition without any corrosion or rust.
